I’ve been tagged for a bloggin’ blessing meme

December 22nd, 2007 by Dim Bulb

I’ve been tagged for a “bloggin’ blessing meme”by Puff the Magic Dragon from THE SPIRIT’S SWORD “and ‘as with any blessing its effectiveness is directly proportional to how well it is passed on.’

It’s simple in format: the recipient simply copies and pastes the following indented section when they become the recipient of a bloggin blessing themselves, as follows…

The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you recieve a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!

I bless Bear-i-tone, of THE SPIRIT’S SWORD, because, although he is a blogger, his own wife did not name him in her meme, choosing me instead. Hehehe! Aren’t you glad you tagged me for this meme, Puff?

I bless Rob, of CATHOLIC SCRIPTURE STUDY, because he is a revert, the father of four young kids, and a nice guy.

I bless ARGENT BY THE TIBER, because she was the first person to link to my blog, and, because she always has great stuff on her blog relating to the liturgical calender.

A prayer for Bear, Rob and Argent: May the blessing of Almighty God, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, come down upon you and remain with you forever. Amen. (In addition, I’ll pray for your intentions during my holy hour tonight)

Now the rules: You can just cut and paste these too:

So, all Bear, Rob, and Argent now have to do is to;
a) bless 3 blog buddies each.
b) Include the ‘God Bless you’ image in their post.
c) Explain briefly why they are blessing the people they are blessing.
d) pray/include in the post the prayer for the recipients of the blessing.
e)The recipient/sender of a blessing should type in the com box of Deb’s original post that a blessing has been sent to them so we can keep track of how many blessings are being given. For easy reference a link to her post will make it into Deb’s sidebar. Sounds a bit confusing, I know. But it could be fun, we’ll soon see!

Thanks for playing along!

Thanks, Dim. Do they have to be Catholic? There is an Orthodox guy and an Anglican I was thinking of tagging.

    Rob,

As far as I know, they only have to be bloggers.

  3. Puff the Magic Dragon Says:

For blessing my husband: “May God reward you as only He can,” ’cause my dear husband won’t

  4. Argent Says:

Very cool meme. God bless, Dim. I’m traveling at the moment and stuck in a snowstorm…so this is a great way to while the hours away waiting.
